Teeth cleaning is part of oral
hygiene and involves the removal of dental
plaque from teeth with the purpose of
preventing cavities gingivitis, and periodontal disease. People
routinely clean their own teeth by brushing, However dental
hygienists can remove hardened deposits (tartar) not removed by routine
brush cleaning.
Brushing twice a day and flossing once a day
are the golden rules for good dental health. Daily brushing and flossing keep
mouths healthy, however there are many other, problems that brushing and
flossing alone cannot fix. For this reason, we recommend all our patients come
in for a check-up and clean every six months, just to address any problems
before they become serious.
